Sept 18 - Requests

Give us this day our daily bread (Matt 6:11) 

God calls us to bring our requests to him. In fact, he tells us that there are some answers to prayer that we will not get if we do not ask (James 4:2; 5:14-16). Given our dependence on God for all things, it is right that petitions and requests are central in our prayer lives, even as we trust him to do and provide as he knows best.  

Here are some ways we can be praying together for Covenant City: 

1. That we would be a church community that faithfully proclaims and lives out the gospel;  
2. That the Lord would cultivate in us a gospel culture of centeredness on the gospel, dependence on God and each other, humility, kindness, and courage;  
3. For wisdom and grace for each other as we begin our life together as a new church;  
4. For the gospel to bring renewal and flourishing for our neighbourhood and city;  
5. For the people we are inviting to church, and that more would come to faith in Jesus.
