Sept 17 - Thanksgiving

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances (1 Thess 5:16-18)
The author Trillia Newbell writes this about thanksgiving: “[God] gives good gifts, and we in turn thank him. But we not only thank God—we experience the fullness of enjoyment as we let those gifts point us to truths about him.”
Thanksgiving orients our hearts to be more attentive to the many ways the Lord has graciously provided for us. It also cultivates a posture of gratitude that looks beyond God’s gifts to take joy in him as the one from whom all blessings flow (James 1:17).
Today, let’s spend time thanking God for some of the ways he has blessed Covenant City. Here are some prompters:
1. For the people and churches who have been supporting us through prayer, practical service, encouragement, and finances
2. For providing a building to meet in
3. For gathering our launch team
4. For the formation of our community through our various events and prayer meetings
5. For people signing up to lead and serve on our Service Teams.
